Caiolo
Small town located in the valley at the foot of the orobie park, south of Sondrio, 1070 inhabitants.
Caiolo is known to the airfield and the 18 hole golf course that extends partly in the municipality of Cedrasco.
Behind the town ends with a wide throat, termination of Val Liviro, where in the hot summer days the locals refreshes the pool formed behind the containment bridle that you meet just next to the bridge leading into the town center.
The Livrio creek that carved the valley comes from the Publino lake at 2118 m, where there is now a dam.
At the lake there is the Horn Stella from the top, on a clear day, you can see the South Po Valley, to the west the Monte Rosa and North Piz Bernina.
