TrTresivio is located on the Rhaetian slope of the Valtellina, on the right bank of the Adda, has 2100 inhabitants and its center is crossed by the road overview Castelli. The City originates from the valley floor and up towards the mountain with two very interesting morphological structures such as the Rock of Calvary and the alluvial fan of Fiorenza (an ancient buried city, in the Middle Ages, by a landslide, according to legend, in one hour to the inaccurate sunset, you can still hear the bells of the city ringing in holiday).
It is crossed by two rivers: the Rhon, which marks the border between Tresivio and Bridge, and mange, and delimiting of Tresivio Poggiridenti, both tributaries of the Adda.
Its location helped to make it an eminently agricultural country, rich in vineyards (those characteristic under the Santa Casa) and apple orchards.
Above the center of a road that climbs up the mountainside, going through the vineyards, it leads to fractions of Piedo, S. Abbondio, the district and the latest Anthony Masotti. Continuing we then come to Prasomaso (1,200 masl) where, just about to the mild climate and clean air filtered by the countless pine and fir trees surrounding the area, the 800 was built one of the first Italian sanatorium for patients tuberculosis; after 1970 was used as a summer colony, nowadays it is abandoned.
The road then rises on the wide expanse of glacial Boirolo (1,615 masl), locations become lately summer residential center of tresiviaschi, characteristic for its spectacular views of the Orobie and the Adda Valley.
Going strictly by foot from the highest point of Boirolo (an uninhabited meadow called "Sgiazza", lately Italianate "Biazza" but it is not used), you arrive at the Place St. Stephen's at 1,800 meters above sea level, the scene of parties organized by the Alpini (the most important takes place the day of August, it characterized based on polenta and sausage lunch and municipal lottery). From here you can leave for excursions to the Corna Mara, Brutana and the Rhon Peak.
