Montagna in Valtellina is a town of 2900 inhabitants.
The country is in the middle Valtellina. The highest point of the municipality is the peak of Pizzo Steps (3323 m). The Davaglione creek is a typical mountain stream that originates from the high alpine meadows overhanging the pasture of Mara, and after passing through the country, flows into the river Adda, on the Valtellina valley. Near the cemetery the Davaglione form the cascade of Pisaloccacon a jump of about 20 m. In the feed area of the river is interesting Davaglione rinvengono phenomena "the earth pyramids" due to accelerated erosion in moraine deposits, including the feature, which has given rise to stories and legends, is the "Capel of Diaul".
